Zayah Webb

Zayah Webb

10/19/2023 — 2/17/2024

Zayah Charles Webb, Nez Perce, age 3 months, our beloved son, brother, nephew and grandson left us Saturday, Feb. 17, 2024.

Zayah was born Oct. 19, 2023, alongside his twin brother Zakari Cloud Webb in Lewiston, to Elijah James Webb and Sawaya Solee Greene.

Zayah will be remembered for his big gum filled smile, his signature frown and his chunky rolls. His spirit was such a light to all those around him. Although his time was limited with us, he fulfilled his role as a son, brother, nephew and grandson. He was loved from all across the country from those that knew him and knew of him. Zayah loved bath time, he spent many hours in the gym enjoying basketball games. He was at peace when being sung powwow songs by his Papa Greene and loved his earned nickname “Jack” by his uncle Brock. Zayah was passionate about the outdoors, especially going on cruises with his parents in the mountains. He above all was fulfilled by his entertaining older siblings, Alailah and Jetty.

Zayah is survived by his father, Elijah Webb and mother, Sawaya Greene, of Lapwai; sister Alailah, brother Jettsyn, and best friend and twin brother Zakari; maternal grandmother Jaime Ewing and John Knapik, of Orofino; paternal grandmother Vanessa Henry, of Lewiston; maternal grandfather Solo Greene, of Lapwai; paternal grandfather Christopher Webb, of Lapwai; maternal aunties and uncles Stacia and Carlos Morfin, Ciarra Greene, Bailey Ewing, Solo P. Greene, Sayq’is Greene, Solara Greene, Sa’qan Greene, Brock Knapik of Nimiipuu homelands; paternal aunties and uncles Tara Spearson, of Lapwai, Paul Monteith, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and Chelsea Quaempts and Pox Young.

Maternal great-grandmother June Greene-Stewart, of Lapwai, Bonnie Ewing, of Culdesac and Earlene Ewing of Palm Springs, Calif.; paternal great-grandmother Mary Jane Miles; paternal great-grandfather Charlie “Chazz Webb,” of Pendleton, Ore.; paternal great-grandmother Hazel Erickson, of Fort Klamath, Ore., Kay Webb, of Pendelton and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents Larry Willard Greene Sr., Christine Koppang-Boehler, Mitch Ewing, Bill Ewing and Arnold “Muggs” Henry; uncles Isaiah Christopher Webb, Trevor Monteith, Daniel Red Elk; Larry Anthony Greene III “Sonny or L.G.”; aunties Geraldine “Jeri” Webb and Whitney Lorence Greene.

The dressing will take place at noon Thursday, Feb. 22, followed by a viewing at Malcom’s Brower-Wann Funeral Home, 1711 18th St., Lewiston. A procession to the Pi-Nee-Waus in Lapwai will follow the viewing, where the memorial will begin at 6 p.m. The funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 23, with burial to follow at the Jonah Cemetery in Sweetwater. Dinner will follow at the Pi-Nee-Waus.
