Violet Marie Osborn, 84, of Kendrick passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sep 21, 2016

Violet was born in Kendrick Sep 13, 1932 to Ed and Lula (Weber) Brown.

She married Milford Osborn Oct 4, 1952.  Milford preceded her in death on June 4, 2016 after nearly 64 years of marriage.

She is survived by 5 children, Marcella Salter of Dallas; Cynthia Sohns of Moscow; Edward Osborn of Kendrick; Judy Osborneof Lewiston and Michael Osborn of Palouse.  Violet is also survived by a brother, Donnie Brown of Kendrick and sister, Kathrin Wohllaib of Greeley, CO, as well as 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

People who knew Violet knew she was an avid bird watcher.  She had several jobs over the years including cooking at Burt’s Café, but the job she got the most pleasure from was cooking for a sorority at WSU.  She loved the girls and they loved her.  She was like a mom to many of them.

A visitation will be held Friday, Sep 30, from 9:00 a.m. until noon at Malcom’s Brower-Wann Funeral Home.  A celebration of life will take place for both Violet and Milford, Saturday, Oct 1, from noon until 4:00 p.m. at the Kendrick Senior Center.
