Raymond Haddon

Raymond Haddon

5/1/1947 — 8/19/2025

Raymond Lee Haddon, 78, of Clarkston, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2025. He was born May 1, 1947, to Hilton Lee Haddon and Mary Ida Wiggins Kirsch.

Raymond lived for a short time in Elk City, before moving to Asotin, where he grew up surrounded by his mother, father, siblings and cousins. As an adult, he later made his home in Clarkston. He proudly completed two tours in Vietnam: first with the 101st Airborne Infantry from June 1965 to June 1966, and then as a door gunner with the 174th Aviation Company’s “Sharks” Platoon from June 1966 to May 1967. Fearless and dedicated, he served with courage, loyalty and brotherhood.

After returning home, Raymond worked for Chicago Bridge and Iron and lived in Clarkston. He was fiercely protective of the family he loved, never afraid to stand his ground and always true to what he believed in.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his three brothers, seven sisters, his children Carl, Tyler and Greyson, his granddaughter Brooklynn and many nieces and nephews.

Raymond’s life was rich with passions that made him unforgettable. He was a guitar-picking, old-school cowboy at heart — happiest with music in the air, a dog by his side and the Northwest mountains nearby. He loved the roar of a Harley and the shine of his red Corvette just as much as a quiet night with vinyl records spinning — from Tom Petty to Willie Nelson. He had a sharp, funny sense of humor, a love for western shirts and a way of telling you exactly what he thought. For years, his favorite gathering place was the Wrangler in Lewiston, where friends knew they’d find him laughing, swapping stories and living life his way. He left this world as he lived in it: fearless, funny, surrounded by family and full of heart.

A celebration of Raymond’s life will be held at a later date.
