Pamala Richel

Pamala Richel

12/6/1956 — 4/27/2017

Heaven gained an amazing, selfless woman Thursday. Pamala Jean Richel was born Dec. 6, 1956, in Twin Falls, to Kenneth and Valdi Bullock. She passed away, too young, at age 60 on Thursday, April 27, 2017.

Pam was a devoted mother and grandmother who delighted in expressing her love through her culinary talents. From pumpkin cookies to a full roast beef spread, those who enjoyed her food knew it was prepared with love. She had that special ingredient that you could never find on the recipe list, but always left you feeling full. Never scant on caring for those in need, she enjoyed extending her compassion and cooking skills to the community at large and regularly volunteered as a cook at shelters and for local charity events.

A shrewd and cunning card player, she also enjoyed playing card games and being social with friends and family. Some of her fondest memories were formed camping with family at Dworshak Reservoir during the hot days of July, fishing for kokanee and sitting around the campfire.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses - Dr. Timothy Richel, Kelly and Santiago Maciel and Kara and Tim Richardson. She had five grandchildren who kept her heart gleefully full until the end - Hadden, Ian, Maison, Kiara and Nevaeh. They had Nana wrapped around their finger. She spent her days with her youngest grandson, Maison - or, in her words, "Sweet Pea."

She was greeted at the gates of heaven by her father, Kenneth Bullock; mother Valdi Bullock; and two siblings, Kenneth Bullock Jr. and Tamara Reynolds. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Ken Tinsley.

She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. While her soul will continue in heaven, her legacy will continue through her children by the lessons her life taught: be kind, live simply, sacrifice for those you love, care even when life is unfair, don't be greedy and above all else, enjoy life.

Those wishing to send flowers and memorial contributions can send them to Vi Carey at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

Services for Pam will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1304 Main St., Lewiston. A dinner will follow at 3 p.m.
