In loving memory of Janina Johns (nee Rajek), 78, of Juliaetta, who went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026. She was born on April 20, 1947, in Altenstadt, Polenlager (Polish Camp). She is preceded in death by her parents; Joseph (Jozef) Rajek and Helen (Helena) Rajek and her brother Stan (Stanislaw) Rajek, and is survived by her husband Douglas Johns, her sister Susie Erickson, and all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Janina immigrated to the United States in 1952, when she was 4 years old, with her parents, her brother and sister Susie (Sophia). She married Doug Johns on Jan. 15, 1965, and lived in Juliaetta, where they had two children, Theresa and Terry Johns. Theresa and Terry blessed her with six grandchildren: Dustin, Cody, Chance, Ashley, Alyssa and Andrew. She was later blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Conner, Aaliyah, Alexia, Jace, Benson, Oliver and Avery. Janina lived for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and truly cherished her family.
Janina had a devout love for the Lord and loved her flowers and horses. In her spare time, she painted many beautiful paintings of animals and nature.
A graveside service will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 17, at the Juliaetta Cemetery, with a celebration of life luncheon to follow at the Juliaetta Community Church on Idaho Highway 3.
