Janie Popham, 89, of Clarkston, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, June 16, 2025. She was the daughter of Clyde and Missie Adkins. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Janie was born in Museville, Va., on Feb. 14, 1936. She attended Museville Christian Church and graduated from Callands High School in Callands, Va.
She married her lifelong love, Everett Popham, in 1956.
Janie was an avid gardener tending the countless flower beds and trees surrounding her home.
She was a skilled cook and baker, with pies and cookies being her specialty.
She enjoyed family vacations, from trips back to Virginia, to exciting visits to the casino where she would win on her favorite machine.
Her most precious times were spent with her granddaughters, Kinsey and Brenna.
Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, of 67 years; her parents and her seven siblings.
She is survived by her sons Tracy Popham of Clarkston and Wade Popham of Bend, Ore., and her granddaughters Kinsey Popham of Albany, Ore., and Brenna Popham of Bend.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Harvest Wesleyan Church, 1100 Elm St., Clarkston, WA 99403, or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
