Glenn Eads

2/27/1943 — 10/1/2018

Glenn B. Eads, 75, passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, from cancer, at his home in Lewiston.

Glenn was born to Howard and Mabel Eades (Redmond) in Nancy, Ky., on Feb. 27, 1943.

On April 5, 1981, Glenn married Carolyn R. Shaw at the Assembly of God Church in Danville, Ill. Glenn worked in several factories after serving three years in the U.S. Army at Camp Mercury, Nev. He was an atomic veteran. In 1985, Glenn relocated his family from Danville to Mesa, Ariz. He worked for 20 years as a senior tradesman at the Phoenix Zoo, where he retired. After retirement, Glenn and Carolyn moved to Idaho to be near their children and grandchildren.

Glenn grew up attending several Christian denominations, but struggled for many years with alcoholism. In 1980, Glenn rededicated his life to Jesus Christ and led Carolyn and all their children to the Lord. Living a clean and sober life, serving both the Lord and his family is his great legacy. He and Carolyn call House of Faith and Hope Chapel their church home here in Lewiston.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Carolyn R. Eads of Lewiston; daughters Rebecca Knudson (Jamie) of Lewiston, Aimee Reimann (David) of Greer, S.C., and Jennifer Jenkins (Nathan) of Boise; son Corey Eads (Stephanie) of Gilbert, Ariz.; his grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah, Rachel, Faith, Joy, Dawson, Isaac, Gabriel, Rebekah, Annikah and Hunter; and his great-grandchildren, James and Jedidiah. Glenn also is survived by his sister, Beverly Hays of Oakwood, Ill., and his brother, Mitchell Walton of Danville.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Howard Glen Eades and Mabel B. (Redmond) Eades-Walton, his stepfather, Roy Walton, and his mother-in-law, Gladys Shaw.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at The House of Faith, 2502 16th Ave., Lewiston.
