Wilma (Willie) Whitlock

She was born Oct. 10, 1943, in Cottonwood, to Harry and Margaret (Kaus) Sonnen. She went to school in Greencreek, graduating in 1961.

In 1964, she married Robert Whitlock at Greencreek. They divorced in 1983.

Willie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, fishing, camping and was an avid reader.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra (Whitlock) McCarty and husband Mike of Las Vegas; a son, John Whitlock of Everett, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Samuel McCarty, Quinn Lee McCarty, Colby Whitlock, Madison Whitlock and Elijah Whitlock.

She was preceded in death by a son, David Whitlock; her parents, Harry and Margaret Sonnen; two sisters, Joan Schussler and Kathy Banks; and a brother, Jerry Sonnen.

A private family memorial service will be held.
