Virgil Marvin Lundgren passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston.
Virgil was born March 27, 1930, in Troy to Charlie and Julia (Quist) Lundgren. He graduated from Deary High School with the class of 1949. Virgil served in the U.S. Army as private first class from 1949 to 1951. On Aug. 21, 1954, he married Patricia (Griffin) Lundgren in Deary. Virgil worked for Potlatch in Lewiston for 38 years, from 1954 to 1992. He was a member of the Crankers Club and Good Sams, and he enjoyed woodworking, camping, family, cars and feeding birds and dogs.
Virgil is survived by his wife, Patricia Lundgren of Lewiston; daughter Barbara (Larry) Smith of Lewiston; son Darrell (Melanie) Lundgren of Lewiston; grandsons Cody (Jacki) Lundgren of Uniontown and Nicholas Smith of Lewiston; granddaughters Christine (Mitch) Hedler of Lewiston and Amanda (Mark) Smith of Asotin and great-grandkids Bailey, Brooklyn, Gage and Clayton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Julia Lundgren, and all of his siblings, Lloyd, Leona, Florence, Harley, Zenis and Kenneth.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lewiston’s First United Methodist Church, 1906 Broadview Drive. Memorials may be given to a charity of your choice.
