Todd Fisbeck

9/19/1973 — 1/2/2017

  • Service Date: 1/7/2017

Todd Alan Fisbeck passed away Monday, Jan. 2, 2017, after a courageous eight-month battle with glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. He was 43.

Todd was born Sept. 19, 1973, in Grangeville, to Chuck and Ginger (Trautman) Fisbeck. He attended school in Orofino and graduated as a Maniac from Orofino High School in 1991. He then attended Lewis-Clark State College and received a degree in diesel mechanics.

Todd married Tina Soule on Aug. 14, 1993, in Orofino. They had two children together, Caleb in 1996 and Chantel in 2000.

Todd worked for Clearwater Paper for 17 years and more recently for MHGC Inc. in Clarkston.

Todd was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being in the outdoors. He had a love for life and always put a smile on everyone's face. If you were ever in need of help, he would drop whatever he was doing to help you. He never met a stranger.

Todd is survived by his children, Caleb and Chantel; mother and stepfather Ginger and Rodger Leach; father and stepmother Chuck and Sharon Fisbeck; sister Christy Randall (Lee Wallace); nephew Devin Randall; very special friend Monica McCann; grandmothers Lily Riechers and Edna Fisbeck; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Earl Trautman and Elmer Fisbeck; an uncle, Cliff Trautman; and an aunt, Bonnie Cook.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Bridges Church, 2102 Eighth St., Lewiston, with the Rev. Brad Bramlet officiating. A covered-dish dinner will follow in the basement of the Moose Lodge, 814 Sixth St., Clarkston.

Please make any memorial donations to Snake River Community Clinic, 215 10th St., Lewiston, ID 83501. The family would like to make a special thank you to Charlotte Ash and her crew at the clinic.

Hi, I just found out about this a couple days ago. I can hardly believe it. Tod was like a son to me. Tod went hunting with me for years and got a bear, lion and bobcat with the hounds. He was so cool and for the past few days I have been in shock. I am so sorry.

I moved away almost 25 years ago and the last time I saw Tod was about 2007 when I was passing thru lewiston. He ran me down and I went and saw his new place in the orchards and met his new wife.

He was so excited about everything. I miss him so much even though we had not been in touch for years. He was as good a friend as I ever had. Goodby.

Hi family,

Had the pleasure of meeting Todd in Seattle at Proton treatment with my brother Warren. God's grace put the two of them there at the same time to keep each other company. Both avid hunters and both of them a fish of water and there comfort zone in the big city of Seattle. Eight weeks of treatment later the two guys were best buds. After treatment on evening I asked Todd if he wanted to go have happy hour with us he said hell yes they make a good one across the street. I said Todd can you drink he said don't care I am gonna drink tonight! We laughed and had a great time. He truly made Seattle feel a little bit like home for my brother. I know he is in heaven giving everybody heck up there. God Bless.

We were so sorry to hear about Todd. I remember him from kindergarten, all through grade school, most of the girls were in love with him, he was such a cutie. The world will be a little dimmer without his smile.

Caleb,

Our heart-felt thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you grieve the loss of your dad, way too soon. We have fond memories of getting to know your dad while in the stands watching football games. We enjoyed our visits with him, as he was always so friendly and fun to talk to. He will be missed by many.

We are saddened by Todd's passing. I always enjoyed Todd in my Wells Bench Sunday School class. I was delighted in our conversations when he was a teenager and friend with our daughter Audra. Every year he would ask to hunt on our property. I would say no and he would say, but I know you love me and I would say, I love you, but the answer is still no. We had a of fun with that type of conversation. Todd was always very charming and loving. He will be missed by our family.

My heart goes out to all family and friends of this wonderful young man. I went to school with Todd. Awnry as ever back then, but always had a smile on his face. He was strong and a hard worker. I have to say, a pretty good dart player as well. I had the honor of playing against Todd in the Kalispel dart tournament this last fall and catching up on old times , including our bouts with cancer. His last words to me were, " It was nice meeting up with you again. Stay strong and keep living your life!" GOD BLESS you Todd!
