Teresa Best

Teresa Best, my loving wife, was called to heaven Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016. She was loved and admired throughout her life as a grandmother, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be missed as a loving but stern mentor of her family. She always thought of others and found ways to "get the job done."

She is survived by her husband, Kevin Best; sons Phillip Best, Paul Best, Isik Best and Brandon Box; and daughters Angie Best, Sara Henry and Brenda Patterson. Travis Best, her youngest son, prepared her journey to heaven Monday, Jan. 18, 2016. Teresa was a cherished grandmother and had many "honorary" grandchildren. She lovingly accepted any child to call her grandma and honored the status.

Tess loved camping, fishing or just reading in the quiet of the forest. She loved painting, listening to music and sharing stories. Her most treasured moments were with her grandchildren just lying around watching old movies. Her husband often noted she knew all the actors and he would come up with "I know ... I am related to the actors." She had many struggles and challenges in life and met them with God's grace.

We all will miss Tess, her direct manner, her gentle manner, her quiet manner. She always was reaching for God's will and used this in her guidance of her family. Her thoughts and love will be carried for eternity by all the ones she touched.

We welcome all to the public viewing to be held from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home, with a graveside service to follow at the Normal Hill Cemetery. After the graveside service, please join the family in a celebration of life covered-dish dinner at Living Word Missionary Baptist Church, 707 Preston Ave., Lewiston.
