Sharon Rose Rudy

Sharon Rose Rudy

7/4/1940 — 7/17/2025

It was in the early hours of Thursday, July 17, 2025, God called one of his children home. Sharon Rose Rudy, originally from Craigmont, passed away in her sleep due to complications of dementia, Alzheimer’s, and cancer.

Born on the Fourth of July in Montana, her birthdays were extra special. Her children would often tell her that all of the BBQ’s, fireworks, and hoopla was all about her because it was. Her mother and father, Ray and Genevieve raised three additional children….Patty, Donald and Raynett.

Sharon met the love of her life, Ronald Rudy, where they lived in Craigmont raising their four children, Shawn, Kevin, Kelly and Corby. As time went by, they were blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Saron spent years teaching children in Head Start, a calling she followed with joy, because of the love of children and teaching. She made sure holidays were special, especially Christmas. Sharon had a knack for home decor and could dress up a house to the point where you would feel you like you were in a “Homes and Garden” magazine. Her children would often come home from school only to see that the walls were a different color. Ron would come home from work and run into furniture because she felt the need to change each room on weekly bases. Not kidding. Helen Keller would have hated our home. Mom could hang a 200 pound picture with two straight pins where Dad would bump while walking down the hall only to have it come crashing down to the ground and oh the joy we would hear after that.

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother and father, many aunts and uncles, sister Patty, and daughter-in-law Stephanie. She is survived by her children, Shawn Rudy, Kevin and Angie Rudy, Kelly and Steve Wayne, and Corby and Mary Rudy, and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A special thank you to the Golden Girls Residential Care for the wonderful care and kindness you have given to our mother. Mom had many friends and knew no strangers. She will be missed dearly. We leave her in the arms of her heavenly father.

The family will have a private ceremony at a later date.
