Sharon L. Riggers, 72, of Lewiston, died Saturday, April 19, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 21, 1941, here in Lewiston, to Ernest and Evelyn (Stone) Riggers. She was raised in Lapwai and graduated from Lapwai High School. After graduation she moved to Lewiston, where she has remained since.
Sharon was active in Opportunities Unlimited and attended Grace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by numerous cousins and was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. May 5 at Grace Lutheran Church. Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to Opportunities Unlimited or Grace Lutheran Church.

I went to the first grade with Sharon, at Lapwai. I am 72 and I will never forget her. My sympathy to the family.

While I haven't seen Sharon in her adult years, I remember Sharon as a loving and peaceful person in her childhood and youth, able to appreciate gift of each day. Thanks to our Lewiston cousins who remained connected with Sharon and to her housemates and those who cared for her through the years. Seattle, WA

I knew and became her friend easily. I found out later that she was my family relative. I continued to stayed in contact with her. for sometime. I found her to be a, soft spoken a gentle soul... quiet and kept to herself. ..kind to others..was a believer..and cared about others..she tried to help others .and giving of herself.....soft spoken and observer, liked tv and crafts....and some social activities....listened...She will be missed...devoted church goer...
