Robin did an additional two years of inactive service where he taught at the Military Training Center in Clarkston.
He married Wilma Thompson of St Maries in 1960. The birth of his first son Donald prompted his decision to get out of the Navy with a desire to raise his family in his beloved home state of Idaho. The new family moved back to Idaho where his second son, Darrin, was born in Lewiston in 1965. Wilma passed away in 1967.

Robin’s forth and lasting wife is Barbara Skeen of Lewiston. This marriage stood the test of time from 1982 to the current time. He became stepdad to her children Jeff, Lori, and Steve and grandfather to their children. During his time with Barbara, he worked as a truck driver until he passed the state exam and became a self-employed insurance agent for the rest of his working life. Robin retired in 2010.
