Pauline Marker Redheart, 72, passed away peacefully Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024, at Generations in Lewiston.

Pauline was born Aug. 16, 1952, in Cottonwood, to Violet and Raymond Marker. She grew up in Clarkston, where she attended local schools and graduated in 1970.

Pauline married her rodeo partner, Thomas Redheart. Together, they had two daughters, Jennifer and Anna. After Thomas tragically passed away in 1975, Pauline never remarried.

Following her husband’s passing, Pauline pursued higher education, earning both her teaching degree and master’s degree. She taught in the Lewiston School District for 10 years before relocating to Renton, Wash., where she taught for another decade in the Renton School District. Upon retiring, she returned to Lewiston, spending her retirement surrounded by her grandchildren and her beloved cats.

Pauline is survived by her daughters, Jenna Redheart and Anna Lawrence (Jeremy), of Lewiston; her sister, Violet Yarroll, of Richland; grandchildren, Jesse Redheart, of Pullman, Noah Stevenson, Ava Lawrence, and Aubree Lawrence, of Lewiston; and nephews, Scott Yarroll (Hiromi), of San Francisco, and Shaun Yarroll (Payal), of Austin, Texas. She is also survived by her aunt, Susie Rocke, of Abertillery, Wales.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Raymond Marker; her husband, Thomas Redheart; and her brother-in-law, Doug Yarroll.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, at Vineland Cemetery in Clarkston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Idaho Animal Rescue Network online at IdahoRescue.org, or at 2021 Ripon Ave., Lewiston, to support animals in the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley.
