Norma C. Miller was born July 30, 1927, to Alva and Esther Hall in Lewiston, and was raised in Spalding.
Norma passed away Monday, April 13, 2015, at Kindred Care Center, at the age of 87. Norma was an enrolled member of the Nez Perce Tribe.
She attended school at Lapwai and graduated from Lapwai High School. She married Jim Miller in 1948, and they had two children.
In 1954, she and Jim opened the Spalding Rock and Antique Shop. Norma loved the trips they took to purchase antiques and gemstones. She also helped manage the business.
Norma loved the outdoors and enjoyed steelhead fishing and catfish fishing on the Snake River. She also played the piano and, in her later years, spent many hours doing crossword puzzles.
Norma is survived by one sister. She is also survived by two daughters, Linda Branigh and Vickie (Jim) Ralstin; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, one brother and her husband, Jim Miller.

I'm so very sorry to hear of Norma's passing. She was always warm and welcoming and kind to me when Dean and I would visit, and I enjoyed knowing her.
