Mary Julane “Julie” Biederstedt, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024, at the age of 97 at the family home in Lewiston. Julie was born on July 13, 1927, to Tom and Mabel Langley in Bristow, Okla. She was the oldest of four children. She lived for a time in California before moving to Lewiston where she met the love of her life, Wallace “Wally” Biederstedt. The couple married in October, 1975, and shared many happy years together until Wally’s passing in 2018. They raised seven children between them, Julie’s three and Wally’s four.
Julie loved playing pool and loved to garden, growing beautiful flowers. She enjoyed fishing, camping and riding four-wheelers. In her younger years she enjoyed horseback riding and water aerobics. She also collected beautiful angels many of which were received as birthday and Christmas presents.
Julie is survived by her son Roger Dale Gregory, of Okmulgee, Okla., and her stepchildren Debbie Masters (Rich), Diane Loney, Dale Biederstedt (Nancy), all of Lewiston, and Terry Biederstedt, of Spanaway, Wash., her son-in-law Jim Van Ornum, 11 grandchildren and over 50 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her little dog Molly who misses her greatly. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Tom and Mabel Langley; her sisters Laurene and Geneva; her brother David; her daughters Glenda Arden and (Redonda) Sue Van Ornum; her daughter-in-law Lilly Gregory and son-in-law Oran Loney.
Julie was well loved and will be missed and loved forever.
