Lila Wendt passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, in her home in Lewiston.
Lila was born to parents Lyle and Paternella Kelsey in El Monte, Calif. She attended schools in Riverside, Calif., until 1956.
In 1956, she married Fred Ratliff, and they were married for 12 years before divorcing. She met Thomas Wendt and they married in 1968, being married for 22 years. They also divorced. During this time she returned to high school to graduate and receive her diploma in 1978.

After her children got older, she opened an in-home day care, managing that on her own until she retired in 2007. During her retirement, she enjoyed playing cards with friends, doing crossword puzzles and watching her grandchildren play sports.
Lila is survived by her sister, Ida Keane (Tom); daughters Denise Ronzzo and Lori Armstrong (Jason); and son Chris "Thunder" Wendt; grandchildren Ryan Peterson (Sierra), Colton, Austin and Shaylee Armstrong, and Harlie Wendt; and great-granddaughter Emery Peterson; as well as many other extended family and friends.
