Lester M. Nedrow, 86, died Sunday, Jan. 29, at Kindred Care in Lewiston.

He was born Aug. 26, 1930, in Clearwater to Harvey and Cora (Payton) Nedrow. Lester married Lula Maier from Asotin in 1950.

He became a member of the U.S. Marine Corps in 1952. He served in the Korean conflict. After Lester was honorably discharged, he returned to Lewiston, where he enjoyed stock car racing.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Cora; brother Darold Nedrow; sisters Loretta Nance and Audrey Page; and daughter Barbara Nedrow.

He is survived by his wife of five years, Lula; sons Darrell (Luann) and John; and grandchildren Jason, Nichole, Leslie, Shaun and Erik, who were the light of his life. He had numerous great-grandchildren. He also is survived by one sister, Marjorie Sampson.

At his request, Lester has been cremated and no services will be held.
