Leonard went to college for a year and worked at the Asotin Telephone Company, then started learning the building trade. He and Bob Jungert had the J and M Construction for 42 years.
Leonard and Darlene Spigel were married in 1979. They later divorced.
He loved helping at the Moose Lodge, working at the food bank, going camping with friends, canning, cooking (fried or smoked turkey for holidays) and making his special mustard for friends and family.
Leonard is survived by his special lady, Lori Ruark; his sister, Louise (Guy) Osborn; five nieces and two nephews and their children; and sister-in-law Karen Mallory. He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Oscar.
