Kevin Allen Lohman, age 61, passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 10, 1964, to Gerald and Lena (Peggy) Lohman.
Kevin was raised in Kendrick, and later made his home in Lewiston and Clarkston. He was a cowboy with a heart of gold — steady, humble and the kind of man who would help anyone without needing attention or praise. If someone needed a hand, Kevin was the one who showed up.
In his younger years, Kevin spent time in the rodeo world, riding saddle broncs and he also enjoyed team pinning. Later in life, he found a lot of joy in simple good times and friendly competition — golfing, bowling and playing darts — always with an easy grin and a way of making folks feel welcome.
Kevin was proud to be a Kendrick High School Tiger, playing basketball and football, and he carried that grit, loyalty and hometown pride throughout his life.
He also had a thoughtful, creative side. Kevin wrote songs and poems, often quietly, but always from the heart — words that reflected the life he lived and the love he had for his people.
Kevin is survived by his children: daughters KaCe (Kyle) Phillips, Ashley (Troy) Bordwell, Cali Ostenson and son Dakota (Jessica) Lohman; his parents, Gerald Lohman and Lena (Peggy) Lohman; his brother, Dan Lohman; and his sister, Glenda (Sue) Herning and the late John Herning; and his loving grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his strength and the way he treated people — fair, loyal and true. His family will miss him deeply, and those who knew him will feel the loss of a genuinely good man.
We will be having a potluck-style celebration of life at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at the Ketch Pen at the Lewiston Roundup Grounds, 2100 Tammany Creek Road, Lewiston. Please bring a side dish. There are options to bring your camper and stay there for a small fee.
