Kasey Kennedy

Kasey Ray Kennedy passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at his home in Little Rock, Ark.

Kasey was born March 24, 1993, in Lewiston. He was the youngest son of Darcy and Larry Kennedy.

Kasey attended school in Lewiston, graduating from Lewiston High School in 2011. While at LHS, Kasey was active in the LHS band, the auto tech program and played on the LHS golf team. During high school, Kasey worked at Bryden Canyon Golf Course and, when not working, could usually be found playing golf with his dad and brother or working on someone’s car.

Kasey enlisted in the U.S. Air Force before he graduated and left for basic training in May 2012. He earned his maintenance badge as a C-130J crew chief in January 2013 and was assigned to the 19th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Dragon Aircraft Maintenance Unit, Little Rock Air Force Base, where he soon showed his dedication and passion for aircraft maintenance. In 2015, he deployed to Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, in support of Operations Inherent Resolve and Freedom Sentinel. At the time of his death, he was a dedicated crew chief and an assistant flying crew chief. His major awards and decorations include Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the NATO Medal.

Kasey is survived by his parents; brother Kory; and grandparents Charles and Ellen Doty of Kamiah.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Normal Hill Cemetery, with the Rev. Mike Lawson officiating.
