John Clarence Miracle, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, after a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
John was born on May 6, 1942, in Altus, Okla., to Emma Jean Patrick and Johnnie Clarence Miracle and was raised in Eldorado, Okla. John relocated to the West as an adult, spending time in California, Arizona, New Mexico and Idaho.
John married twice, with one son resulting from his first marriage, born in 1971. According to his son, Billy Miracle, "John was a very talented soul." He enjoyed art and was a professional painter, winning several awards throughout his lifetime. John also loved listening to old country music songs and singing. He especially enjoyed the song "Boys 'Round Here" by Blake Shelton.
John loved nature and had an eye for beauty that most people overlook. John was very adventurous and lived his life to the fullest extent possible. He loved to enjoy a glass of wine ... or several. He was very intelligent, kindhearted, loving, sarcastic and, of course, stubborn. John was a fighter, battling COPD for several years, yet striving to enjoy the moments in life that he could. John is finally at peace and no longer suffering. He will be missed by many who knew and loved him.
