Our dear mother Glenna passed away this week, peacefully and happy at the age of 88. Mom was the best mom, with never a raised voice or cross word to any of us four children, raised us with love, patience, kindness and care of the best kind.
Glenna was born on July 29, 1927, to Luther and Irene Wrigglesworth. Glenna married Patrick "Pat" McCoy on Aug. 17, 1947, in Chehalis, Wash. They had a busy, full and fun life together. Both were funny and smart as the other. The people that knew Glenna and Pat can attest to lots of funny stories of Glenna's antics and Pat's reaction and vice versa.
Mom went to work with Dad when they bought Howard's Pizza. She made the homemade soups, while Dad made the pies and baked the bread for the delicious sandwiches that they specialized in. Then they started the Mighty Potato, specializing in the same lunch menu, and added the potatoes at dinner along with prime rib. She was a worker bee and oversaw all of the service "out front" to a T, making the restaurant the success that it was. Believe me, there are hilarious stories about her and that place.
Glenna is survived by her children, Chris McCoy, Jan Marie (Stan) McCoy and Teri (Bill) McCoy; daughter-in-law Carole McCoy; grandchildren Sheehan (Jenna) McCoy, Sean McCoy, Daniel (Katie) Stedham, Case (Jamie) Stedham, Alex (Zach) Goodson and Sara (Chet) Teats; and many loved great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Pat; and a son, Timothy McCoy.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Normal Hill Cemetery in Lewiston, with a covered-dish dinner following immediately at her daughter's house, 1608 17th Ave., Lewiston.
We will hold on to her sweet face and pleasant smile forever and miss her so much. She was quite the lady. We know that she is with her beloved mother, dad, husband and son, Tim, and having a good time. We can't wait to see you again, Mom, and hear you say "Welcome Home."
Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home has been assisting the family. Please sign the guest book and leave a memory at www.malcomsfuneralhome.com.
