Gary Lee Lukenbill, 70, of Elk City passed away Monday, June 9, 2014, at Life Care Center of Lewiston, after a long battle with stroke-related complications.
He was born and raised in Lewiston to Leland Lukenbill and Genevieve Yochum, who preceded him in death.
After graduating from Lewiston High School, he served in the U.S. Navy, then drove a truck for 23 years. Once retired, he moved to Elk City, where he was most at peace with his loving, devoted wife, Linda of 34 years, and enjoyed time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; son Kimble Lukenbill of Ferndale, Wash.; daughters Greta Jaeger of Vancouver, Wash., Wendy Fletcher of Kent, Wash., Rita Leslie and Eva Dahl of Clarkston; sons Steven Leslie of Lewiston and Dustin Birch of Pullman; 16 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Leslie, and daughter, Donna Leslie.
There will be no memorial service per Gary's request. Please raise a glass in his memory.

It has probably been 50 years since I last saw Gary. I remember him from my school days, but mostly remember him when he would come over to the house and talk cars and things with my brother, John Jackson. Please know I am so sorry and that I care. Love, Jeri
