Cedo returned to our creator Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, surrounded by her family and relatives.
She was born Sept. 2, 1943, in Orofino to Lucille R. (Moody) and Frank Raboin. Cedo is survived by her daughter, Montia Rosalee Celine Juel Raboin-Smith, her partner, Wus Gone, and his son, Harley Gone, and her beloved grandson, Michael E. Wilson Jr. (Ciarra Greene) and great-grandchildren Elias Wilson, Tanner H. Wilson and Kemina M. Wilson. She is survived by many grandchildren, nieces and nephews too numerous to name, whom she cared for and loved as they in return.
Cedo attended school in Craigmont, where she resided until moving to Lapwai around 1967. She was married to Francis Smith in 1968, and they later divorced. Later she married Reggie Van Pelt and they moved to Mission, Ore. They later divorced. Cedo returned to Lapwai.
Cedo worked for the Nez Perce tribe as a Head Start aide, for which she was ideally suited due to her love of children. Later on she worked as a surveillance officer for the NPTGE after it opened. She took her responsibilities seriously, and thrived in that position.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Frank Raboin; her brothers, Arlie J. and Arthur (Nubs) Raboin; and sister Vickie Raboin.
At the time of her passing, Cedo was residing at the Lifecare Center in Lewiston. While at the center, and after her recovery from her last fall, Cedo helped in the kitchen. That was totally within her character; being helpful, loving, kind and caring. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her family and all of the children she cared for all her treasures in heaven, of which there are many, too numerous to count. She was our “treasure.”
She was an avid Wildcat fan and Seahawks fan. She could be seen yelling from bleachers/stands for all players, mainly her grandson.
