Dianne Louise Tedder went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016.
Dianne was born to Durwood and Therma June Marvin on Nov. 29, 1950. Both parents preceded her in death, along with a brother, Donnie Jim.
Dianne was the eighth of 11 children. She graduated from Charles Francis Adams High School in Clarkston in 1969. After graduation, Dianne joined the U.S. Army.
While stationed at Fort Sill, Okla., she met and married the "love of her life," Sgt. Jimmy L. Tedder, on the fifth day of August 1970. Before the birth of their first child, Dianne was honorably discharged from the Army. She then became an Army wife. She followed her soldier husband around the world for the next 25 years - not a popular way of doing things in those days.
Dianne and Jim were blessed with six wonderful children, Tina, Toni-Ann, Lara-Ly, Jenny Lee-Ann, Bonnie Jeaneen and Jimmy. Toni-Ann preceded her in death.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Jimmy Lee Tedder of Clarkston; as well as their remaining children and their families, as follows: Tina and Lewis Lockhart of Eureka, Mont., and their children Brian and wife Nicole, Brandon, Brianne, Brett, Brittney and Brooke; Lara-Ly and Jon Hendrickson of Clarkston and their children MaryAnn, Michael, Victoria and Daniel; Jenny Lee-Ann and Andrew Schmidt of White City, Ore., and their children Haily and James; Bonnie Jeaneen and Jesse Whitener of Midvale, Idaho, and their children Bailey, Logan and Sidney; and Jimmy L. and Jessica Tedder of Clarkston and their children Makayla, Dawson and Miranda. They also have two great-grandchildren, Anna and Thomas.
Dianne had two of her sisters pass away earlier this year, Jeanette Carnes and Jakie Boudreau, both of Bellingham, Wash. Dianne has four surviving sisters and three brothers, Barbara Marvin, Joyce Henry, Janice Knittel, Judy Lewis, Joseph Marvin, Charles Marvin and Paul Marvin.
Dianne loved our Lord Jesus Christ and the Father God almighty. She was always active in the church and the AWANA program. Dianne was always eager to tell people about our Lord; one of her favorite pastimes was reading the King James Bible to anyone who would listen. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 1443, Clarkston.
A celebration of life will be held on her behalf at 10 a.m. Sept. 10 at Tammany View Baptist Church, 3732 20th St., Lewiston. The Rev. Nathan Gipp of Lewis-Clark Valley Baptist Church will officiate.
