Diana Joy Eneas passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, of causes related to illness. She was 80 years old.
Diana was born Aug. 6, 1935, in Lewiston, to Daniel and Rebecca (Morris) Eneas. She lived most of her life in Lapwai and after graduation, and attended the Kinman Business School in Spokane in the early 1950s. She married Jimmie Simpson on Nov. 17, 1958. The couple moved to California in 1960, Seattle in 1962, and then to San Jose, Calif., in 1970. After they divorced in 1974, Diana moved to Tacoma and finally returned home to Lapwai in 1978, where she resided until her death.
Diana is survived by her daughters, Vanessa "Misty" Biggs, Tiger Gardner, Tracey "Turtle" Pittman and Shelley "Chato" Simpson; sister Flora Adair; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lapwai Cemetery, with the Rev. Mary Jane Miles officiating. Dinner to follow at Pi Nee Waus Community Center in Lapwai.
