Daisy B. Schetzle was born Dec. 10, 1916, in Reubens to Miner and Elva Deffenbaugh. She passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, in Burbank, Wash., at her daughter and son-in-law's house, Phil and Sharon Clouse. She was surrounded by many loved ones.
She went to grade school in Reubens and graduated from Culdesac High School in 1936. She married Kenneth C. Schetzle on April 26, 1936. They had four children, Betty, Sharon, Larry and Robert. Daisy worked at the Culdesac school for 16 years and then went to work at Blount, retiring in 1981. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, puzzles and playing cards.
She is survived by her four children, Betty (Mervel) Neiman, Larry (Joanne) Schetzle of Culdesac, Sharon (Phil) Clouse of Burbank and Robert (Polly) Schetzle of Clarkston; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Sharon and Phil for taking such good care of her.
A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Culdesac Community Church in Culdesac.
