Coreen (Waldron) House passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016, in Lewiston. She was 86.

Coreen was born Feb. 8, 1930, in Bovill, to Robert and Evelyn Bailey Waldron. She attended school in Bovill and married Vern L. House on Sept. 4, 1948.

Coreen was a loving mother and extremely proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved camping, fishing and embroidering. She worked for the Whitepine School District at Bovill Elementary School for many years and retired in 1992. She loved being around the students, so she would often volunteer her time at the school.

Coreen is survived by her daughter, Leslie (Bob) Abell; and son Christopher (Susan), both of Deary; four grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern; parents Evelyn and Robert Waldron; sister and brother-in-law Diane (Waldron) and Donald Hays, all of Bovill; grandson Robert Abell of Lewiston; niece Paula (Waldron) Winter; and nephew Craig Hays both of Bovill.

A graveside service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 8 at the Bovill Cemetery, with a covered-dish meal to follow at the Bovill Elementary School gym. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Coreen's life.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Bovill Improvement Group. The family would like to thank Prestige Care and Rehabilitation and Wedgewood Terrace staff in Lewiston for their care and support.

Arrangements are under the direction of Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home in Lewiston.
