Christian David Taylor passed away Friday, Jan. 1, 2016, of heart failure at home. He was 43 years old.
Chris was born April 8, 1972, to Les and Rue Taylor in Vallejo, Calif. Chris was raised in the Assemblies of God Church from which his dad is a retired minister. Chris' faith played an important role in his life through the years of his trials. Chris started each day with, "Not my will but yours be done today, God."
Chris was employed at Kendall Dodge for the past three years. He spent most of his life in auto sales. Building a personal relationship with his customers was very important to him. Chris had an old-fashioned concept in his sales approach with his customers to the point that they became like family to him. Responses from satisfied customers brought him great joy. He appreciated the opportunities afforded to him by Kendall Dodge. He also enjoyed working with his co-workers and management.
Chris enjoyed camping and riding his four-wheelers with all of his friends. He loved boating, jet skiing - anything outdoors. The first time he entered the demolition derby with his big yellow truck he came in first place.
Chris leaves those who knew him with hearts full of memories they will always cherish. No words can adequately express how hard he worked, how much he gave and how much he loved all of us.
Chris is survived by his four children, Alexis, Caleb, Auna and Megan; and the pride of his life, his grandson, Ryder James. He is also survived by his parents, Les and Rue Taylor; brother Derek (Christina) Taylor; and sister Lisa (Lee) Hale.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Scott Taylor; half-sister Traci; and his grandparents.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Blessed Hope Assembly of God Church in Lewiston, with Marvin Walters officiating. A private interment will be at a later date.
