Beverly Jean Gibbons went to be with her Savior on Thursday, April 2, 2015, in Caldwell. She died of pneumonia. She was born the second of five children to Ira William and Maud (French) Hall on April 15, 1939, in Moscow. She married Leo Frei on Dec. 15, 1955. Six children were born of that union. The marriage ended in divorce. She later married Charles Vernon Gibbons. That marriage also ended in divorce.

Beverly was a member of the Christian Women's Professional Association, a Blue Bird leader, as well as an Amway and Avon distributor while raising her children. While her children were young, she took pride in tending her garden and canning the fresh fruits and vegetables. She enjoyed singing, jigsaw puzzles, pinochle and playing her accordion. She sang in the Singing Christmas Tree in Lewiston. She also worked as a bookkeeper and fraternity cook. She enjoyed writing her memoirs and volunteered wherever she could. She enjoyed helping others. She obtained her certified nurses aide registered certificate at Walla Walla Community College in Clarkston and worked as a certified nursing assistant until her retirement.

Beverly was raised on the family farm in Pullman. During her early marriage to Leo, she lived in Georgia, Kansas and Oklahoma while he was in the service. During his time overseas, she and her two small children, Pam and Carol, lived with her parents in Pullman. The family moved to Moscow, then Troy, when Leo was discharged from the service. They settled in Lewiston until their divorce in 1974. Beverly then lived in Pullman until her marriage to Charles and made her home in Clarkston. After that divorce, Beverly lived a short time in Cottonwood and Grangeville and then returned to her hometown of Pullman. She lived a short time in Moscow and moved to Orofino to be closer to her daughter, Pam. She lived in Lewiston the last few years of her life.

Beverly is survived by her children, Pam (Brady) Jones of Orofino, Carol (Terry) Linehan of Caldwell, Geri (Ross Winters) Emerson of Pullman, Angela Frei of Moscow, Ed (Cheryl) Frei of Absarokee, Mont., and Deborah (Chad Burghard) Frei of Spokane. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 stepgrandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 34 stepgreat-grandchildren, 14 stepgreat-great-grandchildren; brother Fred (Eileen) Hall of Moscow; sisters Pearl (Harvey) Echols of Clarkston and Doris Hall of Richland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; baby brother Darrell Ira Hall; infant grandson Kevin Allen White; and infant granddaughter Whitney Nicole White.

Viewing and visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Orchards Nazarene Church at 347 Thain Road in Lewiston.
