She was born April 3, 1936, in Craigmont, to George and Alice (Vance) Payton. She graduated from Lapwai High School in 1954.
She married Clyde E. Bringman on July 9, 1956, in Clarkston. He worked at Potlatch Forests Inc., from which he retired, and she was a housewife, mother and homemaker. They moved from Lewiston to Lenore in 1976, where she remained until her passing.
She is survived by husband Clyde E. Bringman of Lenore; sons William P. (Atsuko) Bringman of Japan and Steven A. (Tysha) Bringman of Lewiston; daughter Celeste M. (Derek) Weinmann of Lewiston; grandchildren Amber (Jasper) Umphemour, Justin (Courtney) Weinmann, Izaak Bringman, Grace Bringman, Eva Bringman and Arabella Bringman, all of Lewiston; great-grandchild Zander Weinmann of Lewiston; sisters Sharon Miles of Lewiston and Darlene Payton of Orofino; brother-in-law Jack (Sherry) Bringman of Plummer, Idaho; and sister-in-law Louise (Gene) Andersen of Lewiston.
She was preceded in death by sons Clyde E. Bringman Jr. and Danny L. Bringman; father George W. Payton; mother Alice M. Payton; and brother Raymond Payton.
A graveside service at 1 p.m. Monday at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens will be followed by a dinner at 3 p.m. at the Lenore Community Center.
