Alexus Ray Cane gained her angel wings Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, in Cottonwood, at age 18.
Alexus was born Oct. 17, 1999, in Pullman, to Larry Cane and Teresa Hill. She recently graduated with honors from Pullman High School this past June.
As a child, Alexus was always dancing and singing, spreading joy to every person she encountered. As she grew older, her creativity continued. She became passionate about painting and sewing. Her dream was to pursue a degree in interior design.
Alexus’ love for others was extremely evident; she cared so deeply for her family and friends.
She is survived by her parents, Larry Cane and Teresa Hill; sisters Sarah Cane and Mercedes Cane; brothers Heath Cane, Jerrod Cane and Robbie Cane; nephews Jayden and Chase Cane, and Wyatt Cane; nieces Piper Cane and Kyra Cane; grandmother Linda Hill; uncles Tracy and Todd Hill; and aunts Leah Hill and Shonna Noland.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Stanley Hill, who was waiting with open arms to care for her until we are all together again; and grandfather Ray Cane and grandmother Wanda Cane.
A viewing will be held from noon to 5 p.m. today at Malcom’s Brower-Wann Funeral Home in Lewiston. A graveside burial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Melrose Cemetery, and a covered-dish memorial celebration will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Zeppoz. Services are open to all.
Donations can be made to Alexus’ family via the memorial fund (shared by Teresa Hill on Facebook, or online at www.gofundme.com/memorial-fund-for-alexus-ray-cane.)
