Eda Marie Magdalene McCrery, 95 of Lewiston died Friday at Life Care Center of Lewiston.
Edna was born March 5, 1919 to Henry & Marie (Weberling) Damman in Gifford, ID. She attended school there and often spoke with great fondness of her days playing on the high school baseball team.
Some time after school, Eda moved to Lewiston. This is where she met Ralph W. Mehl and the two were wed July 18, 1936. Eda was mostly a stay-at-home mom but she did work for Twin City Foods for a number of years. After the children were grown and out of the house she accompanied Ralph as he traveled the countryside on numerous construction jobs. After nearly 46 years of marriage, Ralph died April 4, 1982.
Later, Eda married Lester Krier and he died just two short years later. She then met and married Sharrol McCrery and the two were together for 14 years until his passing.
Eda loved crafts, camping and fishing, cooking, and most of all, her family. She enjoyed spending time in Dent during the summers.
She is survived by daughters, Verla (Ron) Thrall, of Pierce, Barbara (Bud) Schwartzkopf, of Lewiston and Sandra (Max) Roberts, of Clarkston; grandchildren, Ronda Nelson, Rod Thrall, Cheryl McIntosh, Randy Thrall, Cindy O’Harra, Terri Richards, Lori Martin and Lisa Bruce; brother, James (Helen) Dammon; 23 great-grandchildren and 32 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Esther Lockard and Viola Haeder and borther, Ernest Dammon.
